Had a blast at Eph in Kyoto! Super spacious room with a nice kitchenette and that in-unit washer/dryer saved the day after exploring. Location's solid, just a 10-minute stroll to the train station. Only downside? Finding it was a bit tricky without maps.

Location near Kyoto Station made exploring the city super easy. The room was spacious, with a kitchenette and an invaluable washer/dryer. Loved the sleek bathroom with a waterfall shower. The staff provided helpful information about local sights and dining. The breakfast could be improved. It felt overpriced with limited choice and a strange mix of cuisines. The window view was disappointing due to proximity to other buildings. Despite that, the room's modern style was excellent, though the dark décor felt a bit cave-like at times.

in-unit washer/dryer, spacious bathroom with waterfall shower, proximity to convenience stores and restaurants
The artistic wall blocking the large window feels like a missed opportunity for a view!!! The dark piano black design of the room gives it a cave-like feel, a lighter aesthetic might be preferable!!!
